If you were ever a Cabbage Patch Kids fanatic, revisit your childhood at the Babyland General Hospital - the birthplace of the Cabbage Patch Kid dolls. This toyland sits on 650 beautifully landscaped acres, and you'll find that the hospital is housed in a gorgeous Southern-style home. When you visit here, you'll get to see a Cabbage Patch doll being made and then have the opportunity to take it home to add to your collection. It's a heart warming attraction for young and old.
Spend a day enjoying outdoor and indoor recreation at the Bessie Branham Park. This park has a recreation center that houses indoor basketball courts, men's and women's locker rooms, a fitness room, library, arts and crafts center, a community room, and more. If you prefer to get some fresh air, hang out at the playground or Urban Tree House outside. There is also a large green area at Branham Park where you can stage a football or baseball game.
Experience some of the greatest stories ever told at Shakespeare Tavern. This theater company hosts productions of William Shakespeare's best works, and a few other classics in between. Take some time to enjoy the sights of Centennial Olympic Park in downtown Atlanta. The park was built to commemorate the city playing host to the Centennial 1996 Summer Olympics, and features several sculptures and the beautiful Fountain of Rings. While you're in the park, explore the surrounding areas. You will run into some of Atlanta's major attractions like the CNN Center and the Georgia Aquarium.
