Take a tour of one of Atlanta's historic homes at The Wren's Nest house Museum. The Queen Anne Victorian house is a perfect example of upper middle class living in the 20th century, and was home to Joel Chandler Harris from 1881 to 1908. The National Historic Landmark was named 120 years ago when wrens made a nest in the mailbox - and that is just one of the stories surrounding the legacy of this Atlanta landmark.

Attend an event at the Infinite Energy Center, one of Atlanta's premier event venues. The Gwinnett complex is home to an arena, a performing arts center, and a convention center - meaning it offers a wide variety of entertainment options. Check the calendar at Gwinnett Center to catch hockey or basketball games, art exhibitions and craft shows, and a broad spectrum of performances from ballet, to opera, and major concerts.

Check out a piece of urban Atlanta's history by visiting The English-American Building, more widely known as the Flatiron Building. The building is located in the downtown business district and was built in 1897, making it the city's oldest standing skyscraper. The exterior of the Flatiron is mostly original, though the interior has been widely remodeled. If you're into history and architecture, then you'll definitely want to see this historic building.
