Events and time periods spotlighted include the city's expansion from a rural area to a metropolis, the Civil Rights Movement in the city, and the city during the Civil War. The Atlanta History Center boasts one of the largest collections of Civil War artifacts in the world. This museum and attraction also has historic homes and gardens on its grounds, and has been teaching the public about Atlanta's history since 1926.

This brewing company is the oldest craft brewery in the state of Georgia, meaning they know a thing or two about making beer! $10 earns you a souvenir pint glass, four tastings, and information on how they concoct their delicious beers. Enjoy a performance at one of Atlanta's most historic venues, the Fox Theatre. The theater originally opened as a movie palace in 1929 and has been providing audiences with entertainment ever since. Presently, the venue books more than 300 performances annually, including productions from the Atlanta Ballet, Broadway touring companies, film series and various cultural events, and concerts by world-famous artists.
