The Atlanta History Center boasts one of the largest collections of Civil War artifacts in the world. This museum and attraction also has historic homes and gardens on its grounds, and has been teaching the public about Atlanta's history since 1926.

The festival takes place in Piedmont Park every spring, and features a variety of art forms. Check out one of nature's odd attractions at Panola Mountain State Park. The park was created in an effort to preserve a 100-acre granite monadnock, or mountain. In all, this state park occupies 1,635 acres and is home to a visitor center, a playground, two fishing lakes, an archery range, and plenty of opportunities for hiking and biking in the great outdoors.

The kids can get their hands on interactive exhibits and attractions throughout the museum, and the whole family can explore the history of one of the world's biggest corporations. While you're there, you'll see a chronicled exhibition of the company's impact on pop-culture, and a live demonstration of how the drink is bottled.
