Maui Arts & Cultural Center
Maui Arts & Cultural Center opened in 1994 as the culmination of a long-standing dream of Maui’s residents to build a world-class gathering place for the arts. Now familiarly known as "The MACC," this center has been described by The Maui News as “the artistic and educational heart of an entire community” and “Maui’s entertainment and arts crown jewel.” The MACC is the most comprehensive multi-disciplinary arts facility in Hawai‘i, and a gathering place where people can celebrate creativity through personal and shared experiences of the arts. The Byodo-In Temple
Visit the Valley of the Temples in Oahu, a memorial park that lies at the foot of the 2,000-foot Koolau Range. The highlight of the area is a Japanese temple called Byodo-In.
Hawaii State Art Museum
The Hawaii State Art Museum opened in the fall of 2002, when it brought immensely popular touring exhibits to the state of Hawaii. The museum houses three galleries, featuring pieces from the Art in Public Places Collection. Many of the exhibits focus on art from native Hawaiians, along with art that speaks to the culture of the Islands.
