Walt Disney is an example of someone who dreamed big and overcame humble beginnings in a small Chicago community. At The Walt Disney Birthplace, his determination, hope, and bravery are a source of inspiration, showing us that anything is possible. Walt began his incredible journey on the house's second floor, which his parents built from scratch. Although his family relocated to Missouri when he was around four or five years old, it all started with a man born in Chicago who would later give birth to a mouse. The house was renovated to its original 1901 condition when Walt was born. The current owners, who are Disney fans, recognize the home's historical importance and have great plans for its future.
