At the Wichita Art Museum, the slogan says it all: "Your Museum. America's Art." Priceless pieces adorn the walls of various galleries and their appeal only makes strolling through the museum that much more enjoyable. Special exhibits that feature various mediums as well as limited showings of rare work are just a couple of examples of what is on the schedule of events. Check out their site regularly to find out the latest exhibits.
Are the kids getting in your way? Maybe it's time to retreat to your home away from home at Twin Peaks, Wichita's ultimate man cave. At this nightlife spot, the beer is always kept at a perfect 29 degrees, there are TV screens bringing you your favorite sports, and great food served up by the always friendly Twin Peaks Girls.
While exploring the city, be sure to take time out to visit a true symbol of Wichita. You'll find the Keeper of the Plains monument in the heart of the city, where the Arkansas and Little Arkansas rivers meet. The statue was erected in 1974 to commemorate the United States Bicentennial.
