The Ulrich Museum of Art makes it easy to enjoy so many different exhibits and styles of expression that you will come back again and again for the compelling artwork. Seeing great works of art is a given at this museum, but your senses will really be treated when you attend an "Art for Your Ears" event; a concert series that features live performances by local and regional musicians. While exploring the city, be sure to take time out to visit a true symbol of Wichita. You'll find the Keeper of the Plains monument in the heart of the city, where the Arkansas and Little Arkansas rivers meet. The statue was erected in 1974 to commemorate the United States Bicentennial.

Mark your calendars for the second week in October and be there to see knights and fair maidens take over Sedgwick County Park. You'll feel like you've traveled back in time as you explore a medieval village, with authentic costumes on display, antiquated entertainment, and lots of great food and family fun.
