Seeing great works of art is a given at this museum, but your senses will really be treated when you attend an "Art for Your Ears" event; a concert series that features live performances by local and regional musicians. The Cotillion is synonymous with great live music and performances by today's best rock, country, and alternative groups. Anybody who's anybody out on tour right now will more than likely have a gig booked at the Cotillion. While exploring the city, be sure to take time out to visit a true symbol of Wichita. You'll find the Keeper of the Plains monument in the heart of the city, where the Arkansas and Little Arkansas rivers meet. The statue was erected in 1974 to commemorate the United States Bicentennial.
