The Tallgrass Film Festival may be the launching pad for the next Steven Spielberg! This is the ninth annual festival, and it has built a solid tradition of allowing you to screen the best foreign, independent, short, retrospective and premiering films. As the first inhabitants of the area, the stories, traditions, and culture of the American Indian is sometimes forgotten, but the Mid-America All-Indian Center works hard to preserve it all and its mission is to continue to pass on knowledge of this culture to future generations. The museum does a more than admirable job of this, as evidenced by the various classes, exhibits and lectures that are on the schedule year round.
