Take a ride on the New Orleans Ferry Service and get a great view of the city's outdoor landscape and skyline. The ferry has been in operation since 1827 and travels from the foot of Canal Street to Algiers on the West Bank. One dollar gets you on board, and across the Mississippi River. There are four terminals to depart from.
Get wherever you want to go in New Orleans with the Regional Transit Authority (RTA). Their network of buses and streetcars winds throughout every neighborhood of the Crescent City. From Uptown to Downtown, from Lakeview to the Lower Nine, from Mid-City across the Mississippi River and to the parish lines, the RTA goes there.
