Take part celebrating the life, work and literary accomplishments of one of America's most important writers at the Tennessee Williams & New Orleans Literary Festival. Williams is remembered through writing workshops, panel discussions, literary readings, stage performances, a book fair, music, writing contests and other events incorporating literature, poetry and other art forms - and more importantly, food and drink!

At 400 varieties, you probably couldn't sample all of the beer at Cooter Brown's Tavern but you could try! Watch your favorite team battle it out on one of the 17 flat screens and chow down on some of the best shrimp, oysters and seafood in the city. Take a look at the walls to see which celebrities have made it into the "Obeertuary and Barsoleum," you may be surprised at who's face you'll see.

Established in 2000, the mission of the New Orleans African American Museum is to preserve, interpret and promote the African American cultural heritage of New Orleans, with a particular emphasis on the Tremé community.
