Enjoy a performance by the talented actors at the American Repertory Theater. The theater has garnered many accolades since being founded in 1980, including a Tony Award and a Pulitzer Prize. Most of A.R.T's shows are American plays and musicals or new takes on classic stories, along with some provocative programming that's known to push the envelope. A few past productions hosted by the company include Cabaret, Paradise Lost, Donnie Darko, Oliver Twist, Romeo & Juliet, Oedipus, and many others.

Mount Misery's name doesn't quite describe the beautiful area of this Lincoln destination. The countryside recreation trails here lead hikers through lush woodlands, thriving agricultural fields, and sweeping meadows, all the way to the top of the mountain – again, don't let the name fool you; this menacing “mountain” title could be replaced with “hill”. Be prepared for a scenic, mostly flat trek to the top.

The Boston Harbor Islands offer some perfect destinations for boating and kayaking. Along with playing on the water, fishing, hiking, camping and swimming are popular for this park, too. There are dozens of recreational pathways and trails to explore throughout the islands.
