Set sail to see some of nature's most regal creatures on a New England Aquarium Whale Watch expedition. This tour will take you onto the waters east of Boston aboard a high-speed catamaran, and on your excursion you'll see humpback, finback, minke, and pilot whales, along with dolphins and other marine life.

Mount Misery's name doesn't quite describe the beautiful area of this Lincoln destination. The countryside recreation trails here lead hikers through lush woodlands, thriving agricultural fields, and sweeping meadows, all the way to the top of the mountain – again, don't let the name fool you; this menacing “mountain” title could be replaced with “hill”. Be prepared for a scenic, mostly flat trek to the top.

Grab your skis and hit the slopes at the Blue Hills Ski Area. Seven trails and a drop over 300 feet comprise this recreation area. If you're not so great with a set of skis, Blue Hills offers a variety of lessons.

The Old State House is where The Declaration of Independence was born – the stand for American freedom began here. This important civic building was used as the first state house for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts after the American Revolution was won, and was later utilized as the home for a number of other services like city hall and post office. The Old State House has been a museum dedicated to early Boston and American history since 1881.
