Pictures of landscapes and scenery are beautiful, but I always think how awesome would it be to have your kids or your family in the forefront of that shot? So my focus is on the people. As a lifestyle photographer, I love to photograph people in their own homes/yards or find a beautiful natural setting locally. A farm, a park, heck even just a nice tree or bench can make for the perfect setting for some great shots. I try to capture people in a way that they look like the best version of themselves! I spend a lot of time in photoshop after the shoot to make sure I am getting everyone’s best face in each picture, especially in group shots. This sometimes involves swapping out faces! You know the ones where everyone else looks great but you’re doing that weird half blink face?? Yeah, I can fix that.
