Hang out at one of the nation's oldest bars. The Warren Tavern has been serving beer since 1780 and was a favorite watering hole for historical figures like George Washington and Paul Revere. Now days, this nightlife venue doubles as a restaurant that serves up brunch, lunch, and dinner, including favorites like burgers, shepard’s pie, steak, and, of course, New England clam chowder.

Head to the Back Bay Fens and hang out next to a beautiful freshwater marsh. Along with the marsh, this link in the Emerald Necklace park system is home to ball fields, a wartime “Victory Garden” that was established in 1941, and the popular Kelleher Rose Garden, among other outdoor attractions. The museum retells the Boston Tea Party event, considered to be one of the major catalysts of the American Revolution.
