The Boston Harbor Islands offer some perfect destinations for boating and kayaking. Along with playing on the water, fishing, hiking, camping and swimming are popular for this park, too. There are dozens of recreational pathways and trails to explore throughout the islands.

America's fight for independence began in Boston, so what better way to celebrate Independence Day than in the place where it all started? The Boston Harborfest is the city's week-long celebration of American independence, and on July 4th the festival moves to the Charles River Esplanade for a great view of fireworks and patriotic music by the Boston Pops.

See a concert, watch the Celtics dominate the basketball court or catch a family performance like Disney on Ice at the TD Garden. This entertainment venue keeps a packed schedule of events so there's always something to see here.
