Bring your sense of humor to the Boston Comedy Festival. This popular event has brought some of the funniest comedians in the business to Boston, including Louis CK, Joan Rivers, Dennis Leary, and Lewis Black. Aside from stand up performances, the festival also features improv performances, sketch comedy, and hilarious independent films.

Unconventionality at its finest is showcased at the Museum of Bad Art. Just like the name states, the museum is dedicated to the display and preservation of “art too bad to be ignored.” The MOBA is the only museum of its kind and holds a collection of nearly 600 pieces, and exhibits between 50 and 70 works at a time. The Gibson House Museum is a landmark that serves as a perfect example of an early American home. The house was built in Boston's Back Bay neighborhood in 1860 and was home to three generations of the Gibson family. The Victorian-era home is complete with furnishings that echo the time period of its occupation.
