Woodlands, ponds, and exploratory paths are just a few things you'll find at Olmsted Park. This piece of the Emerald Necklace has several trails for you to explore while hiking and biking through Boston's outdoor landscape. If you want to fish, you'll have the best luck at Wards Pond.
Follow the red-brick road, otherwise known as Freedom Trail. The trail stretches 2.5 miles and leads the way to 16 historical sites that are significant to American history. Some of the sites and attractions include the Boston Common, the Old State House, the Bunker Hill Monument, the Paul Revere house and the site of the Boston Massacre.
“Look closer, dig deeper” at the Harvard Museum of Natural History. The museum showcases several exhibits that have to do with natural history, including Arthropods: Creatures that Rule, Fossil Mammals, New England Forests, and Minerals, Gems, & Meteorites. You'll learn so much about the world around us through the fun sights here.
The Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary, which is the Massachusetts Audubon Society’s largest wildlife sanctuary, is located in Topsfield and Wenham, Massachusetts.
