Live comedy is the ticket at the ImprovBoston Theatre. America's fight for independence began in Boston, so what better way to celebrate Independence Day than in the place where it all started? The Boston Harborfest is the city's week-long celebration of American independence, and on July 4th the festival moves to the Charles River Esplanade for a great view of fireworks and patriotic music by the Boston Pops.

While in Boston, be sure to visit the Bunker Hill Monument, one of America's oldest standing monuments. This impressive landmark was constructed in the mid 1800s to commemorate the first battle of the American Revolution. The monument is accompanied by an exhibit hall and a museum located across the street.

Swimming, sunbathing, beachcombing, hiking and more, are a few outdoor activities you can enjoy while hanging out on the seashore. This is the perfect destination for those who like to explore, as there are over five miles of trails that venture into the dunes and North Shore forestry.
