See the Boston Red Sox in action during their next game at Fenway Park. The Red Sox has been a sports institution since the franchise was founded in 1901. Follow the red-brick road, otherwise known as Freedom Trail. The trail stretches 2.5 miles and leads the way to 16 historical sites that are significant to American history. Some of the sites and attractions include the Boston Common, the Old State House, the Bunker Hill Monument, the Paul Revere house and the site of the Boston Massacre.

Take a look at the entertainment schedule at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium, and you'll see a variety of performances lining the calendar. This versatile venue hosts everything from concerts to plays, sporting events and children's shows like Sesame Street Live!

Spend some time exploring Georges Island and its main inhabitant Fort Warren. Along with the impressive historic fort, there are several buildings that helped to aid the military, including a granite powder magazine, a searchlight station, a generator building, an electrical communications building and a few other types of structures.
