One of the oldest scientific institutions in the nation, the Maryland Science Center has undergone quite a few changes since its inception in 1797. The most recent renovation in 2004 expanded the facility and added new exhibitions on all levels. Visit the Fell´s Point neighborhood for one of the largest annual celebrations in Baltimore. The Fell´s Point Fun Festival, usually held during the first week of October, has been going on for over 45 years and draws in over 700,000 people.
