During the first weekend of each May, spend four days watching top-notch film and video work from all over the world at the Maryland Film Festival. Hundreds of filmmakers attend the screenings of the approximately 50 feature films and 75 short films. Enjoy every type of film: narrative, documentary, animation, experimental, hybrid and others. You may possibly meet celebrity guests as well.
Have an adventure at Maryland´s largest family entertainment center. Adventure Park USA lives up to the promise of its name. Ride roller coasters, play miniature golf, challenge your friends and family to a go-kart race, or go head-to-head in bumper boats, and much, much more!
You can find several monuments and attractions commemorating George Washington throughout the states of Maryland and Virginia. The Washington Monument State Park contains the first monument built for the first President. Built in 1827, this historic stone monument still stands proud near the summit of South Mountain´s Monument Knob.
