Watch a performance by Maryland’s state theater. CENTERSTAGE is Baltimore’s largest professional producing theater, putting on a half dozen classic and contemporary plays in their seasonal series as well as a cabaret series, a play lab series, and specials by The Second City. Take a break from the concrete jungle at the smaller, 6-acre Sherwood Gardens. Located in the Guilford neighborhood, this public garden began as an outdoor hobby of John W. Sherwood in the 1920s and originally consisted of a few of his tulips imported from the Netherlands. Now, Sherwood Gardens contains approximately 80,000 tulip bulbs and hundreds of other plants collected from the gardens of Colonial estates.

Visit one of the most dynamic cultural and educational institutions. The National Great Blacks in Wax Museum is one-of-a-kind, dedicated to preserving important figures in African American history and providing images of role models to motivate youths. The life-size, life-like wax figures highlight historical and contemporary personalities of African ancestry.
