The Mount Vernon neighborhood in Baltimore, distinctly separate from the plantation in Virginia, is one of the city´s oldest neighborhoods and serves as the city´s cultural district. This National Landmark Historic District is named after the home of George Washington, and contains the original Washington Monument.

Built to inspire visitors to celebrate and nurture the world´s aquatic habitats, from tropical rain forests to coral reefs, this public aquarium contains three buildings worth of fascinating creatures and family fun. Among major attractions are the dolphin display, central ray pool, multiple-story shark tank and the rooftop rainforest.

Listen to the lovely ladies of the Pride of Baltimore Chorus put on a performance of the highest possible level. This 110 member all-female, a cappella chorus has members from five different states, and serves as a chapter of the Sweet Adelines International, the world´s largest women´s singing organization.
