Visit one of the most dynamic cultural and educational institutions. The National Great Blacks in Wax Museum is one-of-a-kind, dedicated to preserving important figures in African American history and providing images of role models to motivate youths. The life-size, life-like wax figures highlight historical and contemporary personalities of African ancestry.
During the first weekend of each May, spend four days watching top-notch film and video work from all over the world at the Maryland Film Festival. Hundreds of filmmakers attend the screenings of the approximately 50 feature films and 75 short films. Enjoy every type of film: narrative, documentary, animation, experimental, hybrid and others. You may possibly meet celebrity guests as well.
Plan to spend an entire day or two at Six Flags America. With more than 100 exciting rides, slides, shows and entertainment, this amusement park offers plenty of thrills as well as wholesome family fun. During the warmer months, check out Hurricane Harbor, Baltimore´s only water park.
