One of the oldest scientific institutions in the nation, the Maryland Science Center has undergone quite a few changes since its inception in 1797. The most recent renovation in 2004 expanded the facility and added new exhibitions on all levels. In addition to the exhibits, the Science Center also houses a planetarium, observatory, and an IMAX theater.
Visit the internationally recognized Baltimore Theatre Project for a diverse variety of theatrical performances and entertainment. Founded in 1971 as an appendage to Antioch University, the Baltimore Theatre Project was formed with the mission to provide world-class alternative theater through a non-profit organization.
Head downtown to enjoy an intimate concert at Ottobar. This limited-capacity nightlife venue provides a very personal experience with the local and national performing artists that play here. National headliners who have visited this venue include The White Stripes, Death Cab For Cutie, The Rapture, Jimmy Eat World, Maroon 5 and more.
Head out for some sports action at a ball game at Oriole Park in Camden Yards to see the Baltimore Orioles take the field. If Birds hit it out of the stadium, beware! Long fly balls have been known to travel out towards the Babe Ruth Birthplace & Museum.
