Even the building itself, designed to resemble a Roman Temple, is a piece of art. Art lovers must stop by the Cone Collection, which contains works by master artists like Matisse, Picasso, Cezanne, Manet, and van Gogh.

The 40 miles of the recreational trail in Maryland crawl along the backbone of South Mountain, and are perfect for 3-4 day hiking and camping trips. Popular day hikes along the Appalachian Trail include Annapolis rock, Washington Monument, and Weverton Cliffs.
