Shed some light on the dark and mysterious American gothic writer when you visit the Edgar Allan Poe House & Museum. Famous for his haunting poetry and short stories, Poe began his life in this two-and-a-half story duplex. The home has been converted to represent and reflect the life of Poe and contains materials owned by Poe such as his writing desk, on public display. Fans of literature will appreciate this attraction.

Visit the Fell´s Point neighborhood for one of the largest annual celebrations in Baltimore. The Fell´s Point Fun Festival, usually held during the first week of October, has been going on for over 45 years and draws in over 700,000 people. Home to the Baltimore Orioles, Oriole Park at Camden Yards is a Major League Baseball ballpark built in 1992. Designed as a "retro" major league ballpark, Oriole Park closely resembles the old jewel box parks. Get a good view of the downtown skyline as you watch the game, and be sure to stop by the statue of Babe Ruth just outside the stadium.
