Missouri has over 6,000 caves, but the Meramec Caverns are the largest commercial caverns in the state. According to legend, Jesse James used these caves as a hideout during the 1870s. Located only an hour away from the Gateway Arch, these caves are considered St. Louis's "Buried Treasure."
One-of-a-kind historical artifacts are housed at the Missouri History Museum, including items from the Lewis and Clark Expedition and a replica of Charles Lindbergh's "Spirit of St. Louis." Stop by for music, films, lectures and even story time.
Glide around St. Louis on a Segway with the Glide St. Louis Tours. Fun and exciting guided tours of historic downtown St. Louis, Soulard & Lafayette Square, or Forest Park are available daily from April to October. Perfect for Segway beginners or advanced users.
