Missouri has over 6,000 caves, but the Meramec Caverns are the largest commercial caverns in the state. According to legend, Jesse James used these caves as a hideout during the 1870s. Located only an hour away from the Gateway Arch, these caves are considered St. Louis's "Buried Treasure."

Take a romantic tour of downtown St. Louis in a horse-drawn carriage. The St. Louis Carriage Company has been in business since 1984 and offers a variety of different routes. Rides typically last 30-45 minutes, and carriage drivers can offer a narrated tour of the city.
