The Historic Rosedale Plantation offers a peek at an era in history that was marked by several types of strife and unrest. Tours are by appointment only and you must allow a two week's notice for your tour to commence.

The Charlotte Checkers belong to the Midwestern Division of the Western Conference of the American Hockey League. The sports team is the AHL affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League. Their home games are played at the Time Warner Cable Arena.
