With the NASCAR craze in full bloom in Charlotte, car racing is hugely popular no matter what size the car may be. Nowhere is that more obvious than at The Pit Indoor Kart Racing. Get behind the wheel and get a rush of what the big cars feel like on this amazingly realistic track. The cars even resemble your favorite vehicles from NASCAR, so rev it up and go to the Pit for a roaring good time.

The Historic Rosedale Plantation offers a peek at an era in history that was marked by several types of strife and unrest. Still, against that backdrop, there were regal structures like this Federal style home that was built in 1815 and even then, it got the attention of the town's populace. When you enter the home, perhaps the fact that it has been so well preserved is its most striking feature. The original French wallpaper that dates back to its original construction still adorns the walls. A rare but interesting look at Southern domestic life is the overall theme of taking a tour of this structure that features attractive gardens and a tranquil pond. Tours are by appointment only and you must allow a two week's notice for your tour to commence.

Car enthusiasts from all over the country will definitely want to park it at the Backing Up Classics Auto Museum.  While the venue is small, it makes excellent use of the space it does have by presenting some intriguing autos.  Some of the featured exhibits include cars as far back as the 1920s right through the auto boom of the 50s and 60s.  There is also a row dedicated exclusively to Mustangs.  Muscle cars, classics, and standards are all spotlighted in this fun, highly popular museum.
