300 East

300 East

300 E Blvd
Charlotte, NC 28203   Directions

(704) 332-6507

Website

300 East is found in the historic Dilworth neighborhood in Charlotte. That rustic setting only adds the right touch of class to this highly popular restaurant and bar. The interior mood is one of casual elegance, so if you're on a date you can sip wine with your companion and not have to shout to hear one another. 300 East is also a popular nightlife hangout for groups of friends or coworkers to enjoy something off the impressive New American menu and have a few beers to help close down the workday. Also, there's an inviting patio that's the center of activity during the warmer months of the year.

Alexander Michael's

Alexander Michael's

401 W 9th St
Charlotte, NC 28202   Directions

(704) 332-6789

Website

Alexander Michael's, or "Al Mike's" as it's affectionately known, is one of those special nightlife hangouts where you'll feel right at home the minute you set foot in the door. The low-key atmosphere and laid-back attitude of its patrons will ensure that your first visit won't be your last. There's a tasty menu available that features burgers, nachos and fried pickles, among many other delectable choices. And even though the kitchen closes early, the bar is open late, and that alone is reason enough to stay late at Al Mike's.

Double Door Inn

Double Door Inn

218 E Independence Blvd
Charlotte, NC 28204   Directions

(704) 376-1446

Website

Charlotte's Double Door Inn has been open for over 23 years, and in the ever-changing world of clubs and nightspots, that is quite a heritage. The nightlife venue is always packed with live-music fans, and it's safe to say that the Door is rocking every night of the week. One of the club's most popular nights is Mondays, as that is when some of the area's best blues and jazz acts hit the stage. Check their website frequently, as the Double Door also frequently welcomes accomplished regional and national talent.

Ri~Ra

Ri~Ra

208 N Tryon St
Charlotte, NC 28202   Directions

(704) 333-5554

Website

Ri~Ra isn't your everyday, run-of-the-mill Irish pub. This nightlife hot spot was actually once part of the officer's mess at the barracks at Dublin Park, so the Irish pedigree of this watering hole is unquestionably authentic. That authenticity is only augmented by the impressive collection of Dublin ledgers that date back to the 1800s. But, even though a weighty history anchors this charming place, the excellent beer selection and classic atmosphere make it a thoroughly modern favorite of visitors and locals alike.

TILT

TILT

127 W Trade St
Charlotte, NC 28202   Directions

(704) 347-4870

Website

Heading uptown? Then your destination should be the hippest, coolest nightlife destination in that section of town. Formerly the Liquid Lounge, TILT will prove to be the place where you'll start your evening and stay until closing time. The powerful combination of the club's stylish surroundings, eye-catching patrons and excellent drink menu makes TILT wildly popular with the white-collar crowd. There's always a crowd every day of the week, and make sure you dress to impress as their dress code is strictly enforced.

The Comedy Zone

Your week's stressful events weren't funny at all, so it's fairly safe to say that you're in need of a good laugh. There will be chuckles aplenty at the Comedy Zone. Some of the country's best stand-up comedians have graced the stage here, so whether you're seeing a newbie or a veteran, your side will hurt from all of the ensuing hilarity.
