Paramount's Carowinds Water and Theme Park manages to pack an incredible variety of fun activities over its 105 acres that offer a little something for everyone. Their name combines "Carolina" and "winds" to perfectly describe a place that celebrates the history and culture of the Carolinas. It also offers plenty to do, as the water park features several waterslides for various age groups. In addition to the water park, there are also over 100 rides and attractions as well as a musical review in one of the park's theaters.

Are you ready for some football? Catch live sports action as the Carolina Panthers professional football team takes on the competition. The team is based in Charlotte and is currently a franchise in the South Division of the National Football Conference in the National Football League. The Panthers play all of their home games at Bank of America Stadium, which is also the team's headquarters. The team has an overall record of 125-143 and played in Super Bowl XXXVIII.

The Levine Museum of the New South encourages a hands-on approach to experiencing their facility. Several interactive exhibits and experiences offer visitors a chance to learn about Southern history from the days of the Civil War in a truly memorable and fun way. You can actually try on clothing from the post-Civil War era up to the present day, get up close to various items from that bygone era, or even record your own radio show.
