The Sparks Heritage Museum traces the history and economic significance of how both mining and the development of railroads contributed to Nevada's progress. Through several detailed exhibits, artifacts and memorabilia, you'll gain a much deeper insight to how these two industries came to populate and eventually establish this rustic part of the United States.

And while the menu items are a little pricey, the quality of the food and the fun atmosphere make it all worth it. And don't forget to stick around after you're done eating for a fun round of rock-n-roll bingo!

The Reno Jazz Festival is sponsored by the University of Nevada, Reno and is scheduled every spring, usually in early April. The event prides itself in presenting the absolute best in jazz in the way of concerts, competitions and clinics. Aspiring musicians can learn about this incredibly complex and satisfying musical genre while seeing and hearing it performed by some of the most masterful players in the country.
