Lucke's Saloon lives up to its name, as the venue has been around since the 1940s. Back in the 70s, the bar drew a fairly rough crowd, but over time it has attracted business professionals and people who just want a break from the usual bar scene and want to be comfortable in familiar surroundings. The Nevada Historical Society is a museum that highlights some of Reno's key historical pieces like an architectural drawing of the State Building as well as other artifacts, documents and photographs that tell the story of how this part of the state was key to Nevada's economic and geographical development. Visiting the Nevada Historical Society is a nice break from the usual bustle, and you'll learn quite a bit about the ever-developing desert city that is Reno.
