National Vision

The Reno Jazz Festival is sponsored by the University of Nevada, Reno and is scheduled every spring, usually in early April. The Nevada Historical Society is a museum that highlights some of Reno's key historical pieces like an architectural drawing of the State Building as well as other artifacts, documents and photographs that tell the story of how this part of the state was key to Nevada's economic and geographical development. Visiting the Nevada Historical Society is a nice break from the usual bustle, and you'll learn quite a bit about the ever-developing desert city that is Reno.
