The Sparks Heritage Museum traces the history and economic significance of how both mining and the development of railroads contributed to Nevada's progress. The Reno Jazz Festival is sponsored by the University of Nevada, Reno and is scheduled every spring, usually in early April. And while the menu items are a little pricey, the quality of the food and the fun atmosphere make it all worth it.
