A Real Advantage

NYC is known for its public transportation system, and the New York Transit Museum offers full details on how this storied system came to be. Exhibits include explanations of labor involved in subway operations, the methods of travel used by New Yorkers, the construction of the Triborough Bridge, the old process of revenue collection, history of the city's street transport and more. Memorabilia and exhibits include old signs, station artwork, models and dioramas of the subway, two working subway tracks, preserved subway cars, a working signal tower and other equipment.

M.I.A, Missy Higgins, Beastie Boys, Tegan and Sara, Dream Theater, Boy George, Robert Earl Keen, Nine Inch Nails, Kid Cudi, Deadmau5, Florence and the Machine, The Smashing Pumpkins, and hundreds more have performed at Terminal 5. The New Jersey Nets is a professional basketball team that plays in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference in the NBA. The team has been to the NBA playoffs twice but lost both times, in 2002 to the Los Angeles Lakers and in 2003 to the San Antonio Spurs. The Nets currently play in the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey but are anticipating a relocation to Brooklyn, NYC once the new Barclays Center is complete.
