South Street Seaport Museum was founded in 1967 as part of a 12 square-block historic district that is the site of the original port of New York City. As one of several museums that together frame "America's National Maritime Museum," it houses exhibition galleries, a working 19th century print shop, an archeology museum, a maritime library, a craft center, a marine life conservation lab and the largest fleet of historic ships in the nation.

The Town Hall is an entertainment venue in Manhattan, and since opening in 1921, the hall has become a premier avenue for educational programs, activist gatherings and performance space for music, dance and other performing arts media. Feast your eyes on a little piece of history at the Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden. This attraction is a collection of architecturally significant buildings from the 19th century and was once a home for sailors. The 83-acre Snug Harbor is comprised of 26 buildings, built in the styles of Greek Revival, Beaux Arts, Italianate and Victorian. This National Historic Landmark District is considered to be the "crown jewel" of Staten Island.
