New York City Center New York City Center

The New York City Center is a concert hall in Manhattan, one block south of Carnegie Hall. The 2,750-seat City Center is home to several dance companies including the Encores! series. The series features revivals of popular Broadway productions such as Chicago, Wonderful Town, The Apple Tree, Gypsy and Finian's Rainbow. Other performance companies at the center include Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Paul Taylor Dance Company, Eifman Ballet of Saint Petersburg, the Martha Graham Dance Company and The New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players.

Hispanic Society of America Hispanic Society of America

Spanish culture has deep roots in the United States, and the Hispanic Society of America shines a light on how deep those roots go. This museum is home to a rare books and manuscripts research library holding 15,000 books printed before 1700. An intrinsic feature of the museum is the Sorolla Room, which displays a vast series of Sorolla paintings created from 1911 to 1919; these paintings illustrate scenes from each of the provinces of Spain. Other art showcased at the museum include works by Diego Velázquez, Francisco de Goya, El Greco, and Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida, among others.

Wave Hill Wave Hill

Another of New York City's floral oases, Wave Hill is a 28-acre estate in the Bronx committed to celebrating the artistry and legacy of its gardens and landscapes and exploring human connection to the natural world. The estate includes a public garden, greenhouse and cultural center. As you explore the attractions throughout area, you'll see a perennial flower garden, the Marco Polo Stufano Conservatory, pergola and vistas of the Hudson River and the New Jersey Palisades, a wild garden, an aquatic and monocot garden, 10 acres of woodland, and more. The Wave Hill house has been rented by the likes of Theodore Roosevelt and Mark Twain.
