The New York Mets is a Major League Baseball team based in the borough of Queens in NYC. Since the sports team began playing in 1962, they have won five East Division titles, four National League pennants and two World Series titles. Richie Ashburn, Yogi Berra, Rickey Henderson, Willie Mays, Eddie Murray, Nolan Ryan, Tom Seaver, Duke Snider, Warren Spahn and Casey Stengel have all been inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Another of New York City's world-famous entertainment venues, Radio City Music Hall has been a city landmark since the 1930s. The hall has hosted events like the Grammy Awards, Tony Awards and the MTV Music Awards, among many others. The venue has been the home of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular for over 70 years and continues to be one of the city's most popular tourist attractions. Talented musicians like Pink Floyd, David Bowie, The Beach Boys, Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan have graced the stage at the hall. No trip to NYC is complete without a visit to Radio City Music Hall.
Learn about Asian culture with some help from the Asia Society. The society was founded by John D. Rockefeller III to help strengthen relationships among the citizens, leaders and institutions of the United States and Asia, and is focused on educating the world about Asia. The museum showcases traditional and contemporary works from over 30 Asian-Pacific countries. Hindu and Buddhist statuary temple carvings, Chinese ceramics and Japanese paintings are all featured at the museum. Exhibitions change several times a year presenting art, performance, film, lectures and programs to visitors, students and teachers.
