Browse the extensive collection at the city's second-largest art museum, the Brooklyn Museum. The Park Avenue Armory was built in 1880 and served as the headquarters for the 7th New York Militia Regiment, or the Silk Stocking Regiment. Over a century later, the Armory is now an arts institution that features work that compliments the building and its period rooms; rooms include a reception room, veterans room, staff offices, and a library designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany. Arts featured at the Armory span the realms of live performances, installations and paintings.
