If you and the family are in New York City for the holidays, then skating at the Ice Skating Rink at Rockefeller Center is a must. This is one of the nation's most magical places and family time here will be a memorable and special experience. Architects will appreciate the exhibits at the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum. The museum is housed in the former Andrew Carnegie Mansion and features exhibits and artifacts that showcase design history, along with contemporary design. The collection is showcased in four departments: Product Design and Decorative Arts; Drawings, Prints and Graphic Design; Textiles, and Wallcoverings.

When you're in NYC, you can't miss the world-famous attraction that is the Brooklyn Bridge. The bridge was completed in 1883, making it one of the oldest suspension bridges in the nation and an essential piece of the city's skyline. The bridge connects the boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn, extending 1,595.5 feet over the East River. It is equipped with six lanes to accommodate vehicles and a walkway along the centerline for pedestrians and bicycles.

Helping to bring the buzz of professional soccer here to the States, the New York Red Bulls have helped establish Major League Soccer. The team plays out of NYC and home games take place at the Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey. The team has won two Eastern Division titles but have yet to win an MLS Cup. Roberto Donadoni, Lothar Matthaus, Adolfo Valencia, Youri Djorkaeff and Amado Guevara have all played for the Red Bulls.
