Take a look back into American history as you explore the Fraunces Tavern Museum. The museum shines a light on New York City's role in the American Revolution, as the city was the site of much of the war. The building that houses the museum was built in 1719, and is the site where George Washington gave his farewell address to the Continental Army.

Founded to celebrate the city's status as a major producer of relevant films, the Tribeca Film Festival has garnered tons of publicity since its debut in 2002. Feast your eyes on a little piece of history at the Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden. This attraction is a collection of architecturally significant buildings from the 19th century and was once a home for sailors. The 83-acre Snug Harbor is comprised of 26 buildings, built in the styles of Greek Revival, Beaux Arts, Italianate and Victorian. This National Historic Landmark District is considered to be the "crown jewel" of Staten Island.
