Grand Central Terminal was built by the New York Central Railroad in the prime time of American long-distance passenger trains. The Grand Central Market is also housed in the terminal. The New York Rangers is a hockey team based in NYC and is part of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference of the NHL. The team was founded in 1926 and is considered one of the oldest teams in the league. In the 1927-1928 season, the Rangers became the first franchise to win the Stanley Cup. They have since won the championship three more times: 1932-1933, 1939-1940 and 1993-1994.

The museum's exhibits explore 250 years of fashion history through expositions like London Fashion, The Corset:Fashioning the Body, and Gothic: Dark Glamour. The main floor of the museum features the only permanent fashion history exhibit in the nation, The Fashion and Textile History Gallery. The gallery is changed every six months and features a rotating selection of about 200 historically significant pieces from the museum's collection.
