The New Jersey Nets is a professional basketball team that plays in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference in the NBA. The team has been to the NBA playoffs twice but lost both times, in 2002 to the Los Angeles Lakers and in 2003 to the San Antonio Spurs.
