Travel back in time when you tour the attractions at Historic Richmond Town. The open-air museum is located on Staten Island and is the former county seat and commercial center of Richmond County. The town is comprised of over 30 historic buildings that date back from the late 17th to the early 20th century. Exhibits include the Voorlezer's House, the Dutch Colonial Farmhouse, The Britton Cottage, The Christopher House, the Treasure House, the Meeting Center and many more. The village paints an accurate picture of what it was like living in the 19th century.

When you're checking out the sights of Brooklyn, be sure to spend some time at Prospect Park. The beautiful park occupies 585 acres and boasts a sprawling 90-acre meadow, aptly named Long Meadow, man-made waterways and lakes, the Prospect Park Zoo, a boathouse for Brooklyn's only lake, facilities for a variety of sports and the Prospect Park Bandshell concert venue. Musicians like Modest Mouse, Emmylou Harris and Bob Dylan have played at the venue, so keep an eye on the park's calendar because you never know when your favorite singer may take the stage.

The Gershwin Theatre opened in 1972 and is the current home of the Theater Hall of Fame. Oklahoma!, Riverdance, Peter Pan, Fiddler on the Roof, Singin' in the Rain, My Fair Lady, and The King and I are just a few among the many plays that have taken place at Gershwin Theatre. Visit this historic theater entertainment venue and browse the displays in the main lobby. The lobby showcases an exhibition of costumes, opening night gifts, props and stage notes. Perhaps the most interesting items in the collection are personal belongings of noted Broadway entertainers like Carol Channing, Lynn Fontanne, Angela Lansbury, and Bernadette Peters.
