Circle in the Square was founded in 1951 and is one of the oldest producing theaters in New York. The entertainment venue is known for producing the theatrical works of Bellow, Capote, Moliere, Shakespeare, Steinbeck, Thomas, Wilder and Williams. Some notable actors who have graced the stage at Circle in the Square are: Peter Falk, Dustin Hoffman, James Earl Jones, Nathan Lane, Al Pacino, Vanessa Redgrave, George C. The Morgan Library and Museum is a complex of buildings that serve as a museum and research center. The collection includes manuscripts, books, prints and drawings. Some of the works featured were created by artists like Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, Rembrandt, and Picasso. Other gems in the collection are: a Charles Dickens manuscript of A Christmas Carol; a journal by Henry David Thoreau; scores from Beethoven, Chopin, and Mozart's Haffner Symphony in D Major; and manuscripts of Charlotte Brontë, and nine of Sir Walter Scott's novels, including Ivanhoe.
